Tune in THIS Thursday to re-invent recruitment

Impact99 welcomes David Singh, VP Strategy and Operations, of Kira Talent - one of our wonderful partners. In this week’s web event, David discusses video trends in HR. But don’t take it from us!

HERE’S WHAT DAVID HAS TO SAY…

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video must surely worth more, but how much more? A million?

Implementing video into recruitment has been an evolving process since the medium was first created. From corporate promotional videos to mainstream TV recruitment ads like the ones of US Army or Canadian military us, video has been a compelling way to educate and attract talent.

That one-way communication method, however, has quickly been replaced with two way video thanks to ubiquity of high-speed Internet, webcams, and the expectation of social within the recruitment process.

Today, more than 100 hours of video content is uploaded to YouTube every minute and the average user checks their mobile phone 150 times per day. It makes sense that in 2010 only 10% of organizations used video while interviewing, but in 2012 that number quintupled to 60% of NA companies using video interviewing.

Is your organization leveraging video effectively? Are you ready for mobile recruitment?
